Quscout ("Quscout", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Quscout platform, a business-to-business marketplace connecting buyers of interior and construction materials (including interior designers, fit-out contractors, and procurement professionals) with material suppliers in the United Arab Emirates, accessible via our website and mobile application (together, the "Platform").
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal data when you use the Platform, whether as a Buyer, a Vendor/Supplier, or a visitor to our website. It is intended to comply with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), as amended and supplemented by its executive regulations (together, the "PDPL"), and other applicable UAE laws.
By accessing or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Platform.

We collect personal data: (a) directly from you when you register, complete your profile, submit an RFQ, respond to a quote request, or otherwise interact with the Platform; (b) automatically through your use of the Platform (technical/usage data); and (c) from third parties where relevant, such as payment processors confirming a transaction status, or publicly available business/trade registries used to verify Vendor legitimacy.

Where you make a payment directly to Quscout, for example a Vendor paying for a sponsored package or subscription, payment card details are collected and processed directly by our third-party payment gateway provider and are not stored on our systems. Payments for materials between a Buyer and a Vendor are made directly between them; Quscout does not process, collect, or store any payment information relating to those transactions.
Where we transfer personal data outside the UAE (for example, to a cloud hosting provider with servers located outside the UAE), we will ensure the transfer complies with the PDPL's cross-border transfer requirements, including, where applicable, verifying that the destination country maintains an adequate level of data protection, or putting in place appropriate contractual safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) with the recipient before the transfer takes place.
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected. As a general policy, where you close your account or request deletion, we retain certain records for up to five (5) years afterwards, where necessary to comply with legal, accounting, tax, or regulatory obligations under UAE law, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Data not needed for these purposes is securely deleted or anonymised sooner. Specific retention periods for particular categories of data will be set out in our internal data retention schedule and provided on request.
The Platform uses cookies and similar technologies to operate essential features, remember your preferences, and understand how the Platform is used. You can control cookies through your browser or device settings; disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Platform.
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, consistent with the security obligations under the PDPL. These measures include access controls, encryption of data in transit, and restricting access to personal data to personnel who need it to perform their role. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure, and we encourage users to use strong, unique passwords and to safeguard their account credentials.

Because the Platform is available for download from app stores by individual consumers as well as businesses, the app provides an in-app self-service option to delete your account and associated personal data directly, without needing to contact us, consistent with applicable app store requirements. Please note that, as described in Section 8 above, we may retain certain records for up to five (5) years after account deletion where necessary to comply with legal, accounting, tax, or regulatory obligations, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, even where you have deleted your account.
We will only send you marketing communications where you have given consent, in accordance with UAE consumer protection requirements regarding the use of personal data for promotional and marketing purposes. You may withdraw your consent and opt out of marketing communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in our communications or by contacting us directly.
The Platform is intended for use by adults, whether registering as a business or as an individual consumer, and is not directed at, nor knowingly used to collect personal data from, individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a minor, we will take steps to delete it.
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with personal data.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. Where changes are material, we will provide notice through the Platform or by other appropriate means. The "Last updated" date at the top of this Policy indicates when it was last revised.
